        The Philippines celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Month from October 1-30,commemorating the 27th anniversary of the Indigenous Peoples Right Act (IRPA).This year's theme, "Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong: Pahalagaan, Pangalagaan at Parangalana" emphasizes preserving and promoting indigenous cultures.

    The celebration acknowledges the significant contributions of indigenous people to Philippine heritage, recognizing their rights and struggles. Various events, workshops and exhibitions showcase the rich diversity of indigenous cultures, traditional attire, music and art. These initatives foster inclusivity, social justice and cultural exchange.

    By honoring indigenous peoples' resilience and commitment to preserving traditions, we promote a more inclusive society. Let us join hands in valuing, nurturing and honoring indigenous peoples and their knowledge. Together, we can build a bright future for all Filipinos.
